During the
time from October 5th until 8th 2007 Antoine F. Goetschel and Gieri
Bolliger represented the “Foundation for the Animal in the Law” on the 11th
world congress of the International
Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organization IAHAIO in Tokyo. The convention was
inaugurated by prince Akishino (Fumihito) and caused an overwhelming interest
of the media. More than 1200 participants attended this event. |

During the 12th World Congress of the International Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organization IAHAIO in Stockholm from the 1st to 4th of July 2010, Antoine F. Goetschel as the Animal Welfare Lawyer of the Canton of Zurich and Gieri Bolliger as the Director of the Foundation for the Animal in the Law presented their latest Update on "The Animals in the Law – a Global Perspective". The convention was inaugurated by the Swedish Minister of Agriculture and caused an overwhelming interest of the media. More than 500 participants from allover the world attended this event.

| On October 7th 2004, the Foundation for the Animal in the Law presented its project “Animals in the Law – a Global Perspective” to a large crowd of interested listeners at the 10th IAHAIO congress, in Glasgow. |

| On February 1st, an
international meeting about animal welfare law in the European Union and its
member states was held in Brussels. At this occasion, the Foundation for the
Animal in the Law (Stiftung für das Tier im Recht) had the honour of speeking
about the importance of the implementation of animal welfare on a
constitutional level. |
